The war required young men to join the army and go fight for their country. As the Army wanted men aged 18 and over, college kids were the prime target for the government to draft and to enlist soldiers. However, the students themselves thought otherwise. As the war raged on, thousands of people back in America started to question their involvement in Vietnam. It was the students who took action to what became what was the biggest protest movement of the century. The student’s protests grew become a whole new battle at home against government officials. This era also became a time for change in society as the students started to ponder about their own existence in the world. students.jpg

The view points of the students gives unbaised multiple ways in which the war was interpreted. The students during the Vietnam War era is extremely important as they were the generation in which the War took place. The students themselves were the ones who changed society into something in which they wanted to live in. Their actions are the product in which is the country we live in today.

The following shows how the student’s personal battles against society were fought, how they protested against the war involvement, and finally how they were directly affected by the war which soon was to become one the most humiliating defeats in American history.
